Children are a wonderful and vital part of the church. The church has the responsibility to equip and support parents in discipling their children.
See our Philosophy of Family Ministry for more information.

All the children’s classes follow a unified, age-appropriate curriculum that is aimed at training our children in the whole of God’s Word. A typical class will include a time of singing, a teaching/story from the Scriptures, and an activity based on the lesson. There are multiple classes divided by age and grade.
Children from age 4 to fifth grade meet on the third floor during the Sunday evening prayer meetings at 6:00 pm.
Covenant Kids is an interactive time when our associate pastor teaches children what it means to be a part of God’s church. It includes a time of singing, prayer, and brief instruction.
After meeting as a large group, children divide by age and work on memorizing age-appropriate catechisms together, with the help of adult volunteers.
We take the safety of our children seriously. We screen all our children’s workers and train them on child safety, as well as church and government policies.
Below are some of our volunteer safety procedures:
Children’s Worker Approval
• All workers must be members of Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church.
• Christian Education teachers must be approved by the HTPC Session.
• All adult workers must complete a background check (Note: All of these records are confidential and all workers must be approved in order to serve.)
Worker Guidelines
• All school-aged volunteers must be members of Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church.
• Minors may work ONLY when accompanied by an adult (18 years or older).
• In the infant room, student helpers must be in 8th grade or older
• In all other classrooms, student helpers must be in 6th grade or above.
• Two men may work together only when accompanied by another adult female volunteer.
Onsite Police Officer
HTPC hires an off-duty police officer on Sunday mornings and evenings to aid the security team if need should arise.
We are temporarily suspending the After School Arts Program but plan to begin again in the fall of this year.
During the school year, we offer a program on Tuesday afternoons for children K-5th grade in which we teach the arts (and other facets of God’s world!) from a biblical perspective. We begin with a chapel service at 3:30 pm led by our pastor and pastoral interns which is a wonderful time of singing hymns together and hearing the preaching of the Word. In our art and music classes this year, we will continue our studies on traditional art and music from Germany, France, Morocco, Japan, USA, and Mexico! At the end of the Spring Semester we will hold a showcase event for the students to sing, present on what they learned, and display their artwork for family and friends.
Tuition for the class is $80 per semester with a maximum cost of $160 per family. Scholarships are available upon request.
We would love for you to join us! Contact Sarah Fisher with questions.
