We are in need of volunteers to assist with our ministry to the homeless each Thursday night which takes place between 4:00-8:00 pm. We could use people to help at any point in the evening, even if not for the entire evening. If your schedule allows, please consider signing up for a one hour time-slot convenient for you.
Take a look at this signup form
; you’ll notice that we still need volunteers for tonight! Our hope for implementing this signup form is that we might be able to ensure that our volunteer supply is steady each week, so if you plan to come, please do sign up so we can plan/garner more volunteers accordingly.
Ideally we would have about 3 people signed up during each of the four hours (12 one-hour volunteers, 6 two-hour volunteers, or a combination) – so take a look at the available slots and see if there’s a way you and your family might be able to fill these needs one week this summer. We generally use the time as follows:
- 4:00-6:00 pm – Cook, set up, and fellowship with guests outside
- 6:00-8:00 pm – Serve the meal, fellowship with guests, clean up
During COVID-19, all volunteers are required to wear masks and the meal is distributed outside in to-go boxes if weather permits.
Questions about safety, child-friendliness, etc? Contact James Ritchey
; we know these are unique times, and that this is a new ministry to many of us. We want to commit anew to reaching out into the community with the hope of the Gospel especially during this time, though of course we understand there are legitimate schedule and safety challenges. Regardless of your availability to help on Thursdays, will you please pray for the Gospel to go forth with power as the Word of God is preached and as relationships are built?
“For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth everywhere, so that we need not say anything.” 1 Thessalonians 1:8
