We desire to be a church which begins and ends with the Triune God of the Scriptures. Our very existence as a church depends upon God’s sovereign mercies in history to accomplish our salvation and to gather us together as the body of his redeemed.
We pray for God-ward reverence in every aspect of the life of this congregation wherein we worship God as our good Creator and our merciful Redeemer.
We pray for humble people within our congregation who recognize our reckless rebellion against our good Creator and the free and boundless grace he has given to us in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We pray that the deeper we understand Christ’s mercies to us the more deeply we will grow together as members of his body with warm affection and tangible service to each other’s needs.
Such mercies will also lead us warmly to present the message of the Gospel to the world around us.
In every aspect of our church’s ministry, we seek to emphasize the Word of God and its central message, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the necessary work of the Holy Spirit of God, and the absolute dependence we have upon our God in prayer.
Dustyn was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX. He attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas where he was involved with Reformed University Fellowship. He later interned with RUF and met his wife, Julie (Auburn graduate), who was also an RUF intern. After working with RUF, they moved to Philadelphia where Dustyn attended Westminster Theological Seminary.
Dustyn served at HTPC from 2002-2014; he and Julie (and their four children, Elizabeth, Mary Ellen, William and Katherine) then returned to Philadelphia where Dustyn began a PhD program in Old Testament studies. Upon completion of the coursework phase, Dustyn and his family returned to Tampa in the summer of 2017 where he now serves as Senior Minister.
These milestones capture so many constants: the blessing of his college years spiritually, the blessing of a Christian wife and covenant children, the blessing of what he and Julie learned during their seasons at WTS and the blessing of this congregation which has for so many years been “home.”
